Just did price comparison between HUMAX HDR-1000S and Manhattan Plaza HDR s on Amazon, 83 euro difference.

The Plaza seems to have what I need: weeks EPG, record, Pause and rewind.

Is it worth spending the extra money on the HUmax, any help appreciated.
I wont be unblocking the freetime

Will I just go with the HUmax, it might have some features that I will need in the future?

    aims for the box are
    Record
    Rewind and pause live TV
    Weeks EPG

want it to be Easy and quick to navigate the EPG, select station, record etc
Any suggestions as to which is better?

The Humax is a nice piece of kit - and very reliable. The Manhattan is meant to be quite good too - but sweet mother of God, what we're they thinking when they designed that thing. Personally I wouldn't have it visible in the living room!

My mistake - it was the Echostar I was thinking of. The Manhattan looks pretty good.
