Garden fence fell down during the storms. This fence is shared with neighbour on the right (as you look out from house into back garden). Does anybody know who is responsible for this fence?

The usual deal is that the side that the nails are on is the side that owns the fence. In reality the cost of maintenance/replacement is usually shared between both parties

Storm damage to fences is excluded on most policies

Agree with previous post - storm damage to fences not covered under house insurance.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like I'll have to agree costs with my neighbour.
