BBC4 Ch 4

    am in west of ireland lost bbc4 and bbcs london Ch 4 and some Itv channels. Retuned on designated freq but not receiving any signal. Other stations coming in fine. Any ideas out there

    You might want to check your spelling of 'regards' . . .

    Did you only lose these channels in the last day or 2?

    Dish likely to be out of alignment slightly - probably due to recent weather.

    What about Channel 5, 5 USA, 5*?

    Peter, channels you mentioned gone as is bbc alba and some of the +1 channels. Film 4 and +1 also missing. Others bombing in at around 75 on quality meter check alignment just in case but it was ok.

    Are the missing channels all horizontally polarised?

    missing channels all H polarised. Have twin LNB feeding two separate Boxes and TVs both have same chs missing

    I have seen an LNB fail for one polarisation but was OK for the other (can't remember which was which)

    removing that LNB - and shaking it - confirmed some water had got in

    looks like the LNB is the problem thanks alot folks for your contributions will let you know how it worked out. Looking out at the weather here wont be getting on a ladder to compete with the hailstones any time soon. Will probably wait til next year.

    Changed LNB this afternoon and this solved the problem of the missing channels. thanks for your help
