Impreza highbeams won't stay on...

    Hey all,

    Strange one that I can't figure out..
    I've a got a 04 Impreza 2.5 TS sport wagon with a strange issue.
    When I flick the high beams on to the permanent setting (instead of pulling the stalk towards me to "flash" them) they will stay on for a few minutes then turn themselves off randomly. If I pull the stalk back to the middle then push it forward again they will always come back on straight away but they begin to turn themselves off after less time each time I do this until it happens almost every minute. Anyone any clue what could be causing this??

    If they're HID s it's bulbs.
