It's a really nice tablet, I know a few people who have it and for 99 sterling you can't go wrong.

Looks good. Do let us know if you manage to get it through Parcel Motel.

I tried to order it online with delivery via Parcel Motel. Two days after ordering it, I received an email from Carphone Warehouse asking me to contact them (they only gave a phone number). When I phoned them the guy on the other end told me that my order had been rejected as my credit card was not linked to a UK address.

You'd have to wonder what the hell difference does it make to then where you are based as long as they are posting it to a UK address and it costs them nothing extra.

    What card did you use?

My sisters AIB mastercard was reject by them for the same, yet my AIB visa was accepted by them. Both with Irish addresses

    It was a BOI MasterCard.

I tried to order this yesterday, got as far as the delivery address (i.e. Parcel Motel NI) which must match credit card billing address. Anybody get further than this!? I missed out on the Asus on Tesco.com so i'm looking for another good deal!

Is there possibly a service like comgateway where they will buy for you and send it for a small fee? I've used comgateway for stuff in America that needs and American address and bank account. Has to be some sort of uk equivalent

One of these on this review might work. Defeats the purpose of a bargain I suppose.

Has anybody managed to buy one of these from CPW, using Parcel Motel and Irish CC?

Could have been this thread or one about the Moto G but I definitely remember it being mentioned that Irish mastercards were getting declined but visa was working fine.

Just in case anyone is interested I purchased a Refurbished 16gb Nexus 7 2012 from Dabs.ie for €130 incl. postage. It's on it's way now. 32gb also available.

    Dabs say in their description:

"Please note ASUS refurbs come with an ASUS manufacturer 3 month warranty as standard and include an additional 3 months Dabs warranty , meaning you get a 6 months warranty for peace of mind. The grade of A means they should perform and look as new."

Am looking forward to fiddle with it!!
    Max
