BVD and cards.

Sent off 5 samples (3 together then 1 then 1) to lab at tagging. Lab used text to say all ok but got no results back. Blue cards came as normal.

Is the issue of the blue cards entirely independent of the bvd results?

It is , we have got cards before results . You wont get a movement card without the test results though

you will get the cards but can not sell the calf until the clear results are back, the text you got is the results you dont get written results unless its a positive

Last two batches we sent off we never got the text. Ended up logging onto my icbf and they were up on that.

i am abit lost you said you got a text back from lab that all was ok, was this not the results?

Sorry perhaps I was unclear. I meant they "used" to text. We got texts last year but none so far this year.

Need to get my father to go online with all this stuff.

ah ok, maybe with christmas and that they are gone slow.... i got texts all year up til novemeber

Perhaps. I am more worried about the samples having been lost in the post or quarantined or something than any infected animals.

well send the lab n email or ring them, i deal with enfer and find them very helpful

the lab my daughter works is off until the 2nd jan,

they don't do bvd however

I got caught out before by the way they can put multiple results on the same one text....take a second read of the text u got
