UCI Blanchardstown - ISense Question..

Went to a 3d screening a few months back in the UCI Blanch ISense cinema.

Sound was excellent - seats comfy - screen was fairly sharp (but still slightly out of focus).

But the thing that really irked me was they left the lights on...

Lots of small Spotlights in the roof that shone throughout the whole film so you could clearly see everything in the cinema throughout.

that and there are two Exit doors - one each side of the screen with a Very bright EXIT sign in Green and White that didn't fade.

    Left with a headache.

So question is - is this the norm for ISense? some health and safety solution? or a mistake?

Theres a film showing now I like see - and I wouldn't like waste another nearly 40 euros for tickets on a second try if they always leave the lights On - used to cinemas being at least a little dark....

    thanks...

This has been discussed before. Apparently they never installed step lights so they have to leave the overhead lights on (which are usually only used when cleaning the cinema) for safety reasons.

Ahh - thanks - I knew it must be some health and safety issue - I hope they fix it though - totally ruins an otherwise decent cinema - wont be going again so.

Is the good screen (one that shows 48fps films) in the ODEON at the Point the same with the lighting policy?

    thanks.
