    Hi guys,

I am about to apply for my third licence. There is about a 3 year gap from when my second expired. Am i right in thinking that all I need to do is apply for my test and submit proof of this with my application and I dont have to do the mandatory 10 lessons?

    Thanks

More than a 2 year gap. You are considered to be on your 1st provisional. Back to square one.

I am going to do lessons, but to do the lessons I need a licence.

This is wrong, it's a 5 year gap.

OP you have to do as you ask in your opening post. Apply for your test and with the confirmation apply for your learner permit. No need to do any mandatory lessons.

Thanks for your replies, applied today and they say a 4 week wait for permit. :(

Looking at lessons now. I dont think I have to do the edt to sit the test as im on my 3rd permit. Is it worth doing anyway or should I just stick doing a block of lessons instead?

    Thanks
