    Hi guys,

    I was Irish and Proud and now back with a new name. I felt for quite some time that my former alias gave a wrong impression of being right wing and anti foreign national - I'm actually left wing and totally condemn fascism. With such rearing its ugly head from time to time, I felt the need to ditch 'Irish and Proud', although I very much like my country.

    My name is now Middle Man - one reflection is my views on gender equality which is very much 50/50 - people are people and I don't believe in any preferential treatment on the basis of gender. I condemn both extremes of feminist domination and male macho-ism - both these are IMO childish and I've absolutely no time for it. In terms of transportation, 'Middle Man' would be a fair reflection of my viewpoints on modal share - I believe integrated transport thinking is what we need, not car bashing or any other partisan or political nonsense.

    I hope to contribute positively to the discussions here as felt I've done for the most part under the 'Irish and Proud' banner. Wish me luck!

    No, I hate those - especially when they're crawling along and I have to move 2 lanes to safely overtake.

    Why didn't you subscribe for a short period of time (using your old name) and put in a name change request then your new name would be linked to your existing posts.

    Should remember that for next time - I did search for ways to change name and didn't think there was any option for doing so, so I just closed the account.

    Don't worry, there'll be plenty from me about roads - especially when the next hair brained traffic calming idea rears it's ugly head. It shouldn't be too long before I'm down along the N11 where I can report whatever progress is being made on the Arklow to Rathnew scheme. Hopefully that M17/N18 scheme will get off the ground next year and you'll probably hear plenty from me on it.
