Would a be quiet! PURE POWER L8 700W(currently in my rig) be enough for Asus R9 290 in crossfire ? I have a i5 4670K overclocked and a single R9 290 but looking for a bit more power for 1440P. I heard the the 290's only eat power. I probably wont bother overclock the graphics cards in Crossfire either.

    Thanks

Id say you might be cutting it fine if you have the processor overclocked aswell.

Have a look at the link below, shows power draw for a 290 crossfire system.

As a matter of interest is the 290 not sufficent for 1440p?
From the benches ive seen they seem to suggest that it should have no probpem with 1440p with one or two settings turned down (especially AA)

Yea seems like you need 800 watt minimun, thanks for the link. I think a 1000 watt power supply is the way to go. A single R9 290 is good but I want more power :). Can max out Battlefield 4 at 60 FPS.

Gonna go with this power supply or if anyone can recommend something else. I will be ordering tuesday.
