    Hi guys,
I have just moved into a house with a Stanley Superstar Solid Fuel Cooker in it. I'm not familiar with these at all. There is 2 lids on the top of it. Is there a purpose for these? Do I close them down while it is lit or will that damage it? There is a switch on the front of it as well which says cooker on one side and bypass on the other. Which is the best setting to have it at? I won't be cooking on it just be using it for heating the radiators.
    Any advice would be great.

Hi gain, I was just wondering should the spin valv on the firebox door be open or closed?

It should be open (regulated), closed when wishing slow the burn, ie, through the night.
