Hello all, I have been offered a job in sandyford ind estate and as I do not know the area I would appreciate any advice on nice estates /developments nearby . Moving with partner and 4 year old, max rent 1300 we would not mind an apartment. We need close proximity to the m50. Appreciate any advice

Leopardstown Heights is nice - Mount Eagle or Sandyford Hall.

Very close to Sandyford Industrial Estate, on the entrance to the M50, on the luas line so only 20-25 minutes into the city centre. Small shops in Sandyford Hall and bigger shops just down the road in Leopardstown Valley. Not many places to socialise in the neighbourhood but as mentioned excellent transport links. No idea what schools are like in the area.

I'm in Ticknock Hill and couldn't recommend it enough. Rent is very reasonable, shops and general amenities close by, easy access to the M50 and public transport to Sandyford.

Check out Lynwood, Ludford, Broadford, Kingston, Pine Valley estates all in the Dundrum/Ballinteer area. Also estates off the Upper Kilnacud Road. I would favour the first few as they are really accessible to M50, Luas and many recreational facilities, parks, swimming pools etc.
two bed apartments in Wyckham Point,Wyckham Place would be 1400/1400 approx.

The Gallops and Leopardstown Valley are really nice too and they are both very close to both Sandyford and the M50. There are houses and apartments there. You can also live in Sandyford directly, plenty of apartments there and most of them are nice and modern. I lived there for several years and there seem to be a good few young families living in the area. Stepaside might be an option too if you both drive, might work out a bit cheaper.
