Maternity payment over Christmas period

Hi Guys,

My wife is currently off after having our first baby, her maternity payment date finished on 27 Dec yesterday.
She normally get paid then on the Friday night/ Sat morning, is it a thing that they don't pay the final week or have we missed something.

Anyone that knows about these things would be great to hear from you.

In our case, we got the usual pay on Fri last week, then on Monday got another one. Monday's one was for next week, but was paid early due to the days banks are doing processing.

Check out your bank statement and see if there's a payment from early this week.

Hope you didn't spend it think you'd more money than you thought!!

No nothing like that thank god, just was expecting she had one more payment left,
Will check back in with them next week and see was there a mistake on our end or theirs :-)

Just checked the bank and her last payment was last Friday 20th

Try counting and see have you already received 26 payments, this happened to me both times!


When you start mat leave, you get paid the first week usually a well as work so you forget.

Yes for me I got no payment on my last week as you are paid a week in advance.

Eg. The fri I finished work I got paid by work then got my first maternity payment on the Monday.
