Irish Rail are offering €9.99 one way fares to a ton of places. I just booked Dublin to Cork for the last weekend in January, going out on a Friday and back on a Monday, total price 29.98. Most of the peak i.e. post 3pm times are priced at 19.99. Off peak there is a ton of tickets there for 9.99 a pop, I doubt they\ll last long as the TandCs say there is limited quotas.

Now Im off to scan mydealpage.ie for good hotel deals in the Cork hinterlands, enjoy !
