Nissan qashqai 2?

    Hi,
Just looking for some advice. I'm looking at buying a Nissan qashqai 2.
I'm just wondering what everyone thinks of it or is there any problems I should be on the look out for?
I'll be looking at bringing one in from the north, 1.5 diesel if I can get it & I'm hoping to get away with spending approx €14500 for a 2010 year including vrt.
Is this realistic or am I expecting to pay too much/ too little?

The reason I'm looking at the plus 2 instead of the regular model is for the space once the two extra seats are folded down. Realistically I don't need a 7 seater but the boot space is appealing to me. I'm hoping I'll have plenty of room even with a buggy in the boot.

    Any advice or suggestions welcome:)

Great car. I much prefer it to the regular Qashqai.

Yeah for the space it provides it doesn't look like a bad buy.
But I was just wondering if there's any issues to be aware of? Or am I mad to buy in the north?
Comparing prices between north & south & there's a substantial difference.

I found the +2 a great option for our family use technically we didn't need 5 seats but the option of 7 on occasions was very useful. We owned a Galaxy before this so I would say the +2 was sized just right and not as thirsty as the Galaxy.
    On points to watch for:-
    1) There was a face lifted version in 2010 these are better spec-ed but prefaced lift versions can still be registered in 2010 due to the car sales slump in 2008/2009
    2) The was a problem with premature wear in bushes on the rear suspension I got mine changed under warranty.
    3) The 1.5 diesel is a Renault unit and needs the timing belt changed at 100km

We were happy enough to purchase a new "old" +2 model this year as Nissan are not planning the +2 for the new model being launched. Our needs changed slightly as we wanted the 4x4 option so we purchased the +2 4x4 1.6 dCi version which I would say has 2 plus points over the 1.5 dCi version

    1) The 1.6 dCi engine has ~25% more power and torque and is more fun to drive
    2) The 4x4 version has a better suspension.

I have a 1.6 petrol facelift (2012), it's fine space wise and equipment wise but is a bit dull to drive (while comfortable to sit in for long drives). The +2 facelift didn't come out until 2011 in Ireland (the 5-seater was facelifted in 2010) so to get a 2010 facelift you would have to import. These generally have a better spec than the Irish model so might be worth looking at (look at the N-tec/tekna specs for the top of the range.

    Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a +2 now as well. I'd be interested to hear how you got on. did you buy in the north? what price (if you don't mine me asking).
