Its best to tick the box that says "Eligible for Free Super Saver" delivery. Then once your order total is in excess of £25, you will get free delivery to Ireland.

But keep an eye on your basket because some items may not be available to Ireland. When you go to checkout, its likely they will be offering a different payed deliver method, so you have to select the free option.

Service is pretty good although they often split your orders into multiple deliveries due to them coming from different warehouses.

EDIT: Sorry, should have said this relates to the UK site and not the .com site

I don't think you'll get free delivery to Ireland from amazon.com, whatever about amazon.co.uk.

You'll also be looking at customs duty and VAT, depending on the value of your order.

Neither of those charges will apply if you buy in the EU.

Op can you use .co.uk rather than .com???

You won't have customs duty to deal with then

Thanks for replies everyone,,the Dewalt nail pouch is 30 US dollars and free shipping or so it says,,,in uk it's 22 pounds + shipping

Does the site know that you're looking to ship to an Irish address? Expect the free delivery to disappear at that stage.

I set up an order for a $30 Dewalt item, and the cheapest delivery I can get to Ireland adds $10.87 plus a further $9.40 for taxes. So it ends up costing over $50.

From the UK you can probably add something costing £3.00 and they will certainly deliver free - I can't recall the last time I paid for delivery from amazon.co.uk.

There's a link on the check out web page - "Why didn't I qualify for free shipping". Follow that and you'll get this:

Why didn't I qualify for free shipping?

Not Eligible:Items shipped to addresses outside the United States are not eligible for FREE Shipping.

Won't be free shipping to Ireland from .com

Shipping from .co.uk should be free if the item is fulfilled or sold by Amazon and the total order amount is over 25 sterling, otherwise you'll have to pay for postage.

And you can order from any other departments, they do groceries and stuff you might not immediately think of. Sometimes I have been offered free delivery while below the £25 limit too, not sure why, maybe low weight, so you can just get to the checkout stage to see if you are offered free delivery and do need to add more stuff to get it free. At checkout the irish VAT is applied too, which can bump you over the limit

This site is useful to find cheap bargains on amazon

You can use subscribe and save to get grocery items etc, this does allow free delivery's. But these are recurring delivery's and you'd have to cancel the subscription to stop the item being sent again.

But outside of this you won't get free de;livery to Ireland unless your ortder is over 25 sterling

The link you've provided is really for people in the uk, they get free delivery on certain items and other items you have a min spend of 10.

I definitely got it offered before.

I checked a random dvd there and was offered it below £25, just below mind

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008JZGQU6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

    Order Summary
Amazon Currency Converter is Disabled. Learn more
    Items: GBP 24.58
    Postage & Packing: GBP 0.00
    Order Total: GBP 24.58

This item was £23.97 but with vat added it is still under £25.

As I said this could be since it is lightweight, so I do not expect all thing at this price would be free.

Another dvd at £23.06 at checkout has delivery charges.
