Announcing: beginner's Bolt Action league

    The Warheads' and Gamer's World "New Year Bolt Action League"!

    Starting on Thursday, the 16th of January and running for 5 consecutive weeks in Gamer's World, Jervis Street, Dublin 1 from roughly 6:30pm each night.

    Forces of 1,000 points can be taken with a maximum of 12 order dice and one reinforced platoon. Forces can be changed as much or as little as you want between weeks, within the above restrictions, and players should have a legible order of battle to show their opponent before the game. We recommend http://boltaction.easyarmy.com/Links.aspx for convenience but a written list is fine too.

    Players can use lists from Theatre Selectors or Generic Reinforced platoons as they choose. For those who don't have an army book or the Bolt Action rulebook, Warlord has some handy and free provisional lists available here http://www.warlordgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=9190. There are some handy reference sheets and rules summaries available in the same spot.

    Players will be matched randomly each Thursday and the League Organiser will roll randomly for a mission each week that all players will play.

    The (provisional) scoring system for the league will be as follows:
    Win: 30 points
    Draw: 15 points
    Loss: 10 points
    Fully Painted: 10 points
    Fully Based: 5 points
    Fully WYSIWYG: 5 points

    Thus a player who wins and has all their "hobbiness" in order will score 50 points. Any questions or problems on the night should be addressed to the designated judges for the duration of the league.

    First prize, which will be awarded on the last Thursday, will be the coveted Warhead's Perpetual Shield and a Gamer's World voucher to a value yet to be confirmed. There will be additional prizes also to be announced later.
