VW classic parts webshop

    Attention classic VW owners:

Some of you may be aware the VW have their own classic parts department:
    http://www.vw-classicparts.de/e_content.pl?src=e_cp_index

If you have a willing VW dealer at hand they may contact this department and request classic/discontinued parts for you.

You may not be aware however that if your VW dealer is unwilling (as they usually are when comes to older cars ) that you can now help yourself to some parts through their webshop :)

    http://shop.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/vwcp/

This is fairly new and only available in German ...but a lot better than nothing.

They have a small but vital selection of discontinued parts for several models, you can pay by CC or paypal and they DO ship to Ireland.

One thing to note ...there currently is a bug in their webshop (thanks again to customer service for helping through it !):

Where it asks for your postcode you have to enter "D11" this is the only one that works ...after that it's a doddle

    That's excellent.

Having recently sold my VWs and bought a BMW, one of the advantages I discovered in this switch was finding the BMW classic shop - https://shop.bmw-classic.de

Search by VIN, and find every single part listed, right down to washers and nuts etc. (not all are available in the shop though).
Would be great to see VW do this too.

Audi also have an online shop. People outside Germany can't order via the, website you have to email

And if the rest of the dealer network here are as unhelpful as W*****n Motors you will be on your own.

I've been ordering from them for the past 2+ years, they have far more stock then is listed on their website. You can search by part number and order that way.

Some of their parts are repro and called classic +, others are genuine vw.

They have a good little business going there as there are more and more items added every week, particularly the body panels.

This is the first I've heard of that shop, there is a huge selection of parts on there!

I am looking for a bonnet for a Mk1 Scirocco, it's not listed on the site but alot of other body panels are. Could somebody point me in the direction of somewhere I could purchase one by any chance? Thanks!

I checked vagcat for the part number but its not listed, if you can find the vw part number you can plug that into the availability check on classic parts.
