How would I find someone local that is good at soldering?

It's for something important so I don't really like the idea of doing a diy job on it.

    Thanks.

It is somewhat of a dying art in Ireland as all of these kinds of repairs seem to be done abroad now. I worked as a 'soldering technician' for a couple of years in the 90's but I no longer have any of the tools as there has been no demand for it for a long time. I might suggest some of the small independent mobile phone repair shops. Alot of Chinese guys run them in Dublin city centre. They would probably have the equipment on site.

Where are you based, if it's just some wires you want soldered I could do it for you or any auto electrician should be able to do it.
If your talking about track soldering try pawwed Rig suggestion or a radio/tv repair shop.

Thanks for the replies - just on computer now, I got it sorted this afternoon. I just bought a special cable that I didn't know was available.
