few sand/soda blasting questions ???

i currently have a 1960s fordson dexta which im restoring and it is now time for some paint i have spent the past week or more at it in the evenings with a wire brush and have a good bit of it cleaned but there are plenty of bits which i cant get at with the wire brush someone suggested getting it sandblasted but i have been told its not a great job as sand can get in everywhere and ruin seals etc another person that i should get it soda blasted ? whats the difference in the two what material do they blast it with ? has anyone else got this done ? also who in the carlow area would do this for me they would have to travel as the tractor isnt moving anytime soon thanks.

Soda Blasting is the best BUT it will not remove rust. It simply washes away after use and does not pollute. Sand gets everywhere and is more difficult to clean up afterwards but it removes rust. Soda blasting, if done properly - and very few do - is very good.
