Great pictures! Love the environment too. Not often I'd see foxes out and about during the day myself, so it makes it even better!

Isn't that's how they do it, anyway? When it's 'facing each other' it's a dominance thing, but when it's 'backwards' like this it's a procreation thing, right? I'd a friend who was a vet, she'd tell me all sorts and I'd believe every word of it.

what's happened here is the male's penis is stuck in the female's vagina. it's to prevent any other males mating with her while his sperm does its thing, afaik.
