I actually have a pair of the ATH-M50's already. The amperiors are a definite upgrade (in my opinion) but to be honest it depends on the price more than anything, and the M50's are definitely the best value for money in that price range which is why I bought them in the first place!

Back again today @7pm.
I'm no hifi expert, can anyone tell me how good there are compared to the bower & wilkins p-series (I missed the p3 for £99 on Black Friday)? I know they're comfortable, I wear a similar sennheiser headset in work, but how's the audio quality?

I ordered them as I was on the look out for a pair of HD25 and these were coming in cheaper.
Reviews seem to indicate whilst they are now discontinued they are a worthwhile investment at this price for what is essentially an upgraded/limited edition version of the HD25.
