boot tailgate will not close on 2007 vectra hatch, when you press the button you will hear a whirring sound for 4-5 seconds like a motor or something. tried to slam it shut but didnt work any advice please

Try some wd40 or a bit of bail twine will sort it.

fixd. pressed bootlock button in and tryied a screwdriver at same time... worked

ok when i push the lever in the lock itself up it wont click in or lock
