flexi flue for solid fuel stove

    Can a flexi flue be connected directly on to top of stove or do you need a cast pipe first plummer reckons I can would it not burn out easily with the heat. Are there different types of flexi flues

    You should never see a liner in any circumstance. It should always be in a chimney.
    Flues rising from the top of a stove should be in cast iron & should generally rise a minimum of 600mm before the first 45 bend.

    Always refer to the manufacturer's installation instructions for guidance. Just because some plumber says it will be fine, it may be far from it.
    Probably why manufacturers carry out extensive testing on their products & they generally go to great lengths in writing the MI's.
