Wireless network card issue

Recently built myself a computer and everything has been working fine on it. After a while I decided to install a wireless network card http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-WDN4800

I installed the software with no problems and made sure the drivers were up to date. It seems to be working fine as it can identify wireless networks and connect to them with no problems.

The problem is that the computer shuts down unexpectedly almost immediately after I connect to a wireless network everytime. I'm thinking that it could be a compatibility issue with the motherboard I have maybe? http://www.msi.com/product/mb/Z87-G43.html

Anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?
