Device for playing spotify

I'm thinking of getting a device specifically for playing spotify and tunein through my stereo. I currently use my iphone but its annoying when having to send a rext or email or beowse etc. I had been thinking of an iPod touch to replace this but wanted to get your feedback on whether there was another device on the market…

I use an iPhone and mac so I guess the sync up makes sense
