    Hello

Exactly like in thread, my question is simple, Im asking because if I would like apply for Dental Hygienie in Trinity College (lets assume) its clearly says:
Dental science, Dental hygiene, Dental nursing, and Dental technology: All new entrants must attend their regular medical practitioner prior to registration to certify their vaccination status or immunity to tuberculosis, measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox. Registered students in Dental science, Dental hygiene, Dental nursing, and Dental technology must remain free of any life-threatening infectious condition that could be transmitted to a patient or fellow health worker. Such conditions could include but are not limited to; HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, tuberculosis, chickenpox, measles, mumps and rubella.

Theres no exception even if I put 2 pair of gloves and I will be extra careful with a patient? what if my virus Hepatitis C is putted on sleep mode ? and hes no so active like normally?

    Please help

    Cheers

I dont know what the regulations are, however there are risks to patients as Hep C is highly contagious, especially for a patient with a open mouth having a carrier 6 inches from their face for 30-60 minutes at a time. Universal precautions work, but are not 100% guaranteed as for putting the virus in sleep mode I dont know about that.

While I appreciate that everyone has a right to pursue the carrier of their choice, sometimes external factors make is unfesiable.
