DCU Google

    Hey guys , I'm currently filling out my CAO and I just wanted to know if I do computer applications in DCU, could I still work for Google or Microsoft ? Please answer quickly I need to have this sorted by January.

    P.S. If anyone has done the DCU course could they tell me what it's like and what job you got out of it.

    if your dream is to work in Google, i know that a lot of the jobs are advertising are engineering based jobs, at least in the Dublin HQ.

    i don't know about Microsoft but this is the case for Google anyway

    im not up with the details sorry, all i know is atm Google are looking for a lot of people in engineering

    you could work for Google or Microsoft yes. You would have to be very good though.

    CA is a fancy name for CS in DCU.
    I guess it's because we are promoting us to be Irish Enterprise University ?
    And yes,as far as I know there are CA graduates working in these companies.

    Students have graduated from both CA and EC degrees and gone on to work for Microsoft, Google, and all the other big multi-nationals... Companies like Microsoft take INTRA (work placement) students regularly as well.

    You may also find students with Physics, Electronic Engineering, Maths degrees etc.
