    Hi,
I just build my new rig and i transferred my HDD from my old computer to this and it won't boot. I keep going into start up startup repair. Im currently running windows 7 and any advice would be great! Also i can't reinstall windows 7 from usb, the usb is detecting in the bios but when I go onto boot manager it doesn't show?

You need to install the OS onto the drive while it's in the new computer, you can't just carry it over.

Try setting the usb as the first thing to boot from. Did you make it bootable with the tool from Microsoft?

How did you plan to boot from the USB if it's not a boot device? You have to make is bootable. Just search for something like, windows usb installer.

No, you can only boot from a boot device, Microsoft have a tool for doing that.

The usb drive has to be formatted to the right file system, this video explains it
