So, quick question... how do people register their Irish payment card or even make sure the PMID goes in their parcel motel address when using Tesco Direct?

It asks for a postcode for eveything, and even when you use BT11AA you have to select from their dropdown list.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 291 ✭✭5.11 Tactical

It doesnt verify your address so any credit card can be used.

I used the address of the quays in newry as going to collect as newry is up the road

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 980 ✭✭✭psicic

    Thanks Op.

I was actually just coming back here to post that - it doesn't check the payment method's address - it just relies on the verified by visa or mastercard sercuricode.

As for address for delivery, put in the Parcel Motel postcode and select the Parcel Motel address that pops up. Then, according to the Parcel Motel thread, edit your name so you put both your firstname and surname in the firstname field, then edit the surname and put in 'Parcel Motel PM12345', (with your own PMID, obviously) that way it will get to you. (and be careful that you get your full PMID in... it cut off the last digit of mine, so I had to remove a space or two)

I entered my PMID when ordering the ASUS tab earlier, same way as 'psicic' explained.

When I look up my order on the Tesco website I can see no mention of the PMID I entered, just my name and address like below (the blacked out bit is just my name). Is that the same for everyone else?

No, on mine the name shows up with the PMID in it.

Maybe click on the contact button and make sure they include the PMID?

Thanks psicic. I was sure I entered it, but I must have done something wrong. I'll fire them off an email.

How did you add your parcel motel ID into surname field? It doesnt let me use any sort of numbers.

Edited delivery details at checkout. My surname reads as "ParcelMotel PM12345". It didn't have a problem (other than it cut off the last digit, so I had to remove the space between parcel and motel)

Same happened to me! I added my PMID and it didn't show on the confirmation! Just after emailing both Tesco and Parcel Motel! :( Really hope it doesn't get lost as I'm sure they'll have their work cut out for them in the next week or so :-/

My bad - I cancelled the order and re-ordered under a different email (to avail of the £10 off again as the code couldn't be used again) and went through the process once again. However I made sure to save the change in surname this time!!! Confirmation mail shows up the PMID now. Hopefully the cancellation will go through properly.

Yes it is the exact same as all PS3's Wifi,Bluray etc.

Xtravision one is a myth, just up at newry again getting food and still a shed load of them there for £99..

Not bad for a decent bluray play if you want that, thats what I am using it for.

Good luck getting one from xtravision, apparently they only have 1 left in the entire country. The branch I went to didn't even know about the offer so they hadn't sold out, they simply never had them. They must be resorting to creating fake deals to get people into their shops.

That's in store only so I'd have to travel up north to get it. I'll just stick with the £89 ps3 I suppose.

    Edit: Dispatched
