7 year old woke during Santa

So nearly caught red handed by our 7 year old while in the middle of doing Santa.

Settle him into bed about 8 and he's nearly p!ssing himself with the excitement - did the Santa tracker app, pnp etc so he's all up for it.

Myself and the missus settle down with a few scoops and decide we will get the presents out about 11. It's now nearly 2 and he's awake a couple if hours complaining if tummy pain.

Presents are trapped with me in our room, missus is in trying to settle him down.

Going to be a long night!

Was a time when Santa was happy with a mince pie and glass of milk.

Why were you doing Santa ? Don't you realise he's very busy tonight ?

Dress up as santa, it's the only way to ensure a safe delivery

Just tell him he's been naughty ,

    problem solved.

Or get him to go to the bathroom - stick the stuff under the bed.

Or put the stuff under the tree downstairs

Only one thing you can do here. Cancel Christmas. Sorry, but its the only option I'm afraid.

    What stuff is this now?

Manages to get the pressies from the hiding place in our bedroom cupboard to the en suite. Door of that locked so looking for opportunity to scoot down the stairs and place safely under the tree - problem is I have to pass right by his room.

Anyone an excuse if I'm caught red handed with a few boxes of lego, a beano and a pair of messi runners?

Punch him in the head. A kid that young would only need one punch and he'd be out for the night.

    You're welcome :)

You COULD try an elaborate bluff, wherein Santa 'drops all the presents in your room' and then 'leaves through the window' just as your young lad comes into the room.

    It's a long shot now.

Personally, I'd go with the chlorofom.

Should have bought him clean ones.

My previous suggestion of cancelling Christmas still stands.

Ok ok ok...all jokes aside. He's gonna wear himself out with the excitement soon. Grab the nearest alcoholic drink and hang tough.

He's a bit young for booze!

He hasn't twigged it, he thinks Santa has already been and you were arranging the presents.

Enjoy your jars, he'll go to back to sleep eventually.

There's always one, but on Christmas? Even the suggestion isn't funny!

Santa won't be coming to you.

I found out there was no santa when I saw my dad taking all the presents out of my room, I never let on and decided just to play along, but was disappointed.

Two of little ones announced they definitely heard bells last night in the middle of the night and the 4 year old compulsive spoofer, told me he and a room of guests he actually saw Santa last night on the neighbours roof and one of the reindeers was in our garden
