Nearly 5 years since my last one, so price is somewhat out of date. It was covered 100% by my health insurance (Quinn at the time). Afaicr, the cost was €1875, which I still think was daylight robbery. [Just 7 months earlier, I'd spent 9 days in hospital (not same hosp), following major surgery, and the whole lot came to less than €10k, inc the surgery].

I'm scheduled for another one in late Jan! ....not looking forward to teh day before!

I had this done in mount carmel last year and cost about a grand. Paid for a colonoscopy in the beacon for someone and that was around 1200. Both included the pathologist fees and consultant fees.

Wow! That really shows how exorbitant my cost was....it still peeves me a lot, even if Quinn/BUPA paid it. There were 12 people in for a colonoscopy that morning, so 12 x €1875 = €22,500. Nice money for the hospital for a morning's work. It'll be "interesting" to see what this month's cost will be.
