Sheep on marginal land

    I was thinking I could put sheep on some marginal land. It gets soft for cattle but could handle sheep weights.

    What's marginal where I live could be very different from what's marginal where you live.

    I'm classed as "poor grassland", and also use commonage (bog & hill). Mayo Connemara type blackface do well if managed right. Cheviot are another contender.

    Marginal would be drained boggy,suited for forestry

    Easycare are decent breed for wet land. Good feet and like the name says are easy to mind
