Your Christmas Eve film of choice

    Im so far torn between two;

    This

    Bill Murray at his finest, A Christmas Carol reworked and a great feel good finale. Whats not to love?

    And this

    The best action film of all time. One that set such a precedent that for years later producers of the genre would inevitably be summarising their pitch as "its Die Hard ... on a plane", "its Die Hard ... on a train!" etc.

    I have a feeling I may even watch both ;)

    Whats your Christmas Eve film of choice? Give a reason or two for your pick

    In the name of the father

    Planes, Trains and Automobiles. It's more thanks giving but it's a great comedy with 2 actors in their prime. RIP JC
    Home Alone. A christmas classic, grew up watching it each year and still love it. Harry and Marve steel it.
    Die Hard. Alan Rickman steels this movie, playing one of the best bad guy roles ever, cool as.

    Warlords of Atlantis on Horror Channel, have not seen it for decades.

    hang on what day is it? :D

    I'll tape it for later, Xmas day tv is just terrible.

    The Apartment. Billy Wilder's brilliant look at the dark and lonely side of Christmas with Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine. A romantic comedy about boardroom politics, infidelity and suicide. As charming as it is sourly cynical. All shot in glorious Cinemascope.

    Watched scrooge yesterday before i went out. I feel I made the right choice.
    Trading Places is also a great christmas film, the scene at the christmas party is brilliant.

    I got bored of DH2, it's just not as good as 1 and 3. I switched to Gladiator just in time for the chariot battle and Maximus's speech.Then over to Django Unchained for the rest of the night, my first time seeing it and it was great.
