Hi all, just wondering if you could pass me on some advice.

I need a TV, circa 42". I'm wondering if I should go with integrated freesat, saorview and smart technologies or put all that onto an external box and just get a good LED tv and let another box look after all the tuning and smart bits.

Or if I go with an integrated system, which model would have the simpler interface, some of the people here are not so tech minded.

I see some of the tvs now offer PVR to an external HD, reliable?, easy to use?

Or have I just opened a can of worms

    Any thoughts appreciated.

Best to get a Saorview certified TV with USB recording
Only problem with this set up is when you record on to a USB, you are stuck with that channel while recording, only one tuner.
I would wait out til Saorview have a new Saorview+ PVR as there is none as far as I know.
For Freesat, get a Humax Freesat+ PVR if you want to watch and record UK channels
I wouldn't advise to get any FreeSat Freetime PVR as you would need UK ISP to make it work fully
