Bought one of these from a CEX exchange over the weekend. Its O2 locked and I want to gift it to someone who has a Vodafone Sim. I've used an unlocking site there which gave me a code for €5, but the phone doesnt accept it. I also came across a free unlocking site, which gave me the exact same code that I had paid for 10…

Bought one of these from a CEX exchange over the weekend. Its O2 locked and I want to gift it to someone who has a Vodafone Sim.
I've used an unlocking site there which gave me a code for €5, but the phone doesnt accept it. I also came across a free unlocking site, which gave me the exact same code that I had paid for 10 minutes beforehand!

I have now contacted 02 chat and they have agreed to email the code for the phone sometime in the next 2 weeks, am I right in thinking that since they also just took the IMEI, I will be given the same 8 digit code again?
