Eircom F1000 Router : USB File Share

    So i've enabled the USB share option on my router (see the screen shot) and connected an external hard drive. The Host name says Gateway but how can i access the share via smb or http?

    Was trying to do the same earlier with no joy, one forum says eircom have disabled this feature, hopefully someone comes along with a workaround.

    plug the usb drive into the usb port 2 not port 1 it will work also enable media sharing

    Ok - I've the drive inserted to USB 2, the media server is enabled and the media library path is '/mnt/usb1_1'. Still stuck with how i access the disc remotely

    Humm - I can get ftp access to router and the USB drive appears via the mount path.

    I have done the following to set it up both on linux system and windows

    Once i managed to get FTP access it was only a case of some fiddling to get it to work

    What are you trying to access it from?
