Heard recently of a 'Certificate of Competency' which is required in order to renew a driving licence for some people over 80. This, apparently, is in addition to the medical cert. Has anyone on here any further info on this?
    Thanks in advance.

The mistake they made is in assuming people under 80 are in any way "competent" just because of their age

Yeah, they just need a GP to say they are ok to drive afaik (both parents drive and are in their mid-80s; not much; not far; but one of them I not entirely happy being a passenger with!)
