Sorry for raising this old problem again, but I would love an answer.
I believe I have tried everything.
SD channels are coming in 100%,while HD,no signal, but EPG details can be seen,ie no picture or signal strength on the Sony Bravia.
Have been going at this for two years!,with many different set ups, amps,no amps, aerials of all kinds.I put the problem down to CC from Wales on CH 50,but HD then switched to CH 40,and problem still remains.
I know path, and the fact that the TX is only 200 watts, are the likely culprits, but I wondered if anyone else has seen this annoying situation across the sea from IOM? I have tried a STB to exclude the TV tuner, same result.
The terrestrial HD pictures at times( at other locations) appear to be much superior to the same channels seen on Sky,so worth trying to get.
Happy Christmas,PS hope dialogue sound improves next year, dubbing mixers take note?

The Welsh transmitters changed to channel 40 too.

I presume your TV supports DVB-T2 MPEG4? Freeview uses this compared to DVB-T MPEG4 used by Saorview.

Thanks Richard for taking an interest.
As I mentioned the Set top box which is a Humax HD box does not see any signal on T2 thus eliminating the Bravia, model KDL 40EX 403.The TV did see some HD pictures, briefly last summer. But the problems of HP lift and general propagation conditions meant I gave up trying until the winter, and the change of channels from 50 to CH40.
As Peter points out above Wales then moved to CH40,back to square one.
Its of interest that at this location T2 reception appears much more difficult,if not impossible, sadly there is no alternative TX that I can receive, due to terrain.
RTE romps in,different I know,on a piece of wet string. Thanks again.

Thank you for the update Peter,I hadn't thought to check.
Just wondering if anyone else has spotted a similar problem at their location,in the meantime back to the dish.
