Renew motor tax. In different county

    Hi,


    When I bought my car I was living in Dublin, this year we moved out of Dublin and I need to tax my car tomorrow, just wondering can I tax it in a office outside of Dublin??????

    Need to get it sorted before the Christmas , cheers

    I have registered my car in one county, but always tax it in a different county (work) and never had any issue.

    You can go to motortax.ie and have a pin issued to an email address if you wish to tax the car online.

    It shouldn't be a problem. Councils don't get the motor tax income for themselves - it goes through the Local Government Fund first and then redistributed.
