Pop up ads

I've been getting a very annoying amount of pop up ads in the last few days. Think they're probably all coming from an app? Don't really want to start uninstalling all my apps until I get the right one. Is there a way to find out where they're coming from? If it makes any difference, I've a HTC One mini. Thanks

Do you mean ads popping into the notification tray or just on-screen?
If in the notification area just long press on it and pick app info to see where it's coming from

Music download apps tend to be the worse for this kind of thing.

Noticed a couple of websites I frequently visit, used an add scanning service to check my browser and "popping up" your device is to hot ( in this weather?). Quick mail to the owner and now gone

Download Airpush Detector from the market place which tells you what apps do this.

Try a task manager : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.SmartTaskManager
Look for running game's or apps which look out of place

Goodness, that would annoy the hell out of me! Did you install any dodgy apps recently? Might have a look through app list and check reviews of ones you're not sure of. It'll definitely be in the running apps list if it's doing that so a task manager should spot it.

Is that a beats audio app you installed yourself or did it come on the phone? When I installed the beats apk on a phone before I got them ads too.

Thanks for the replies. The beats thing comes on the phone. I uninstalled 5/6 app that I rarely/if ever use last night, so I'm gonna leave it for a while and see if that solves it. So far so good. There doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary in the 'running apps' list.
