    Hi there

I am 20 years old and I am looking for help to meet girls. I am quite shy when I'm out and I don't drink which makes it very hard to meet girls.

I am proud of the fact that I don't drink alcohol but I do understand that nowadays drinking and going to pubs and clubs seems to be the way to meet girls. I have started going to pubs and clubs with my friends but I never have the courage to talk to girls while I'm there.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

Forget about meeting girls in pubs and clubs, it isn't usually the way to meet someone you really like. You shouldn't have to change who you are to get a girl. Join a club or get involved in some hobby that interests you. You'll make friends with similar interests and if you're lucky maybe meet a girl. Of course don't do these things with the sole intention of just meeting girls.

It's **** when your that age and you don't seem to be able to score when out with your friends. But don't let it get to you, there are girls out there, they're just not pissed out of their minds in the pub.

Thanks for the reply, good point, the problem I have is that I live in a small town and I am off for the year from college so the only chance I have of meeting girls is when I go out with my friends at the weekend. Nothing for young people to do in my town.
Thanks for understanding my problem, there aren't many non drinking 20 year olds in my town :)

Can you drive? A lot of the lads I knew would stay sober on nights out so they could gallantly drive home a girl and get a phone number out of it. Worth a shot!

I was pretty much just like you, I still find it hard to hard to converse with anyone in pubs, they can be truly horrible places to talk to other people.
Find a place where you can talk to and get to know girls easily and build some confidence. Then if you do meet them out you can say hello and have something to talk about. Even look at volunteering locally, doing something like sports training, anything that will build confidence. Ultimately tho when you're back in college my previous post should hopefully help.

Very good idea, i am hoping to get my full licence soon so that could work. I never thought of that. It could give me and her alone time to talk also. Thanks
