Is there a question there somewhere?

Don't pay fine and you'll be wondering everytime you're back there, if they're gonna impound your car or land you with a bigger fine. Pay it and lesson learned. Your choice, personally I'd pay.

Pay it and forget about it. Otherwise it will be in the back of your mind everytime you visit Edinburgh.

If you have a different car the next time youre there theyll be none the wiser. If not pay up and move on.

Just pay it for your own piece of mind.

I wouldn't pay it. but if you have to ask people here then you probably should

It happened to me in England, I just ignored it and it went away. Just like here, it'll be written off..

30 isn't too horrible. Down in London it's over double that. For the sake of a quiet life I'd pay it unless you're not planning on being back in Scotland again with that car.

£30 is reasonable considering you were in the wrong, I'd pay it.

Most places would clamp and tow you. At thirty sheets, you got off lightly.

Could be totally wrong, but don't the police enforce unpaid parking fines in the UK i.e Through ANPR. Personally I wouldn't risk it. Its €45 to have peace of mind because I'd imagine that would easily triple if you were caught with an unpaid fine.

....and in Scotland they don't clamp, it's seen as a form of extortion (illegal):D

Friend of mine got a heap of them over a long weekend in edinburgh and glasgow. He just fecked the lot of them in the bin. Heard nothing.

I got one in london 3 years ago...genuine mistake....was legging it back to put more money in the machine but the warden had beaten me to it!! Rang the uncle, who's a solicitor based in cornwall. His advice "f*ck it in the bin our kid"!!
