I have a 2009 Passat cc and have noticed that randomly the passenger side heating blows cold no matter what temp is set. Drivers side is fine. It does not always happen so I am thinking a sticky motor maybe? Would a diagnostic scan show up a sticky motor? Anything I could manually check myself without tearing the car apart?

it's most likely a faulty motor on the temperature flap , a diagnostic scan should show a fault for it .
