I was told that he was sued by a High Court Judge for comments he made about the Judge. Maher criticized the Judge for comments the Judge made about a farmer. Maher is supposed to have successfully defended the Judge's defamation case.

Does anyone name recall the name of the Judge or any other details? Can't find anything on this on the net. Was a he a good president?
