NTSC vs PAL 3DS

Okay, I have the option of buying an american or a european 3DS. I'm over in America maybe 3/4 times a year, and could also order games online, but on the other hand, live in Ireland.

I heard someone say that NTSC games with shipping are still far cheaper than irish prices?

Or should I just get PAL for convenience and for buying second hand games from adverts.ie and etc?

I've an american 3DS. So far in terms of games, Europe seems to be getting everything the US is getting that's important. Sometimes they even get games earlier.

I do find 3DS games an awful lot cheaper but second hand games are a little more expensive since you have to get them from ebay.

It's up to you really. If you don't mind getting all your games from the US then a US machine is fine.

I get most of my games from the playasia weekly sales.

I've got EU, US and JPN 3DS consoles at this point, and if I could only keep one I'd keep the EU one. There's been a few US exclusives (or significantly earlier releases anyway) where I've been glad of the US machine, but I tend to impulse buy games in shops at times, which requires me having the EU console. I've had the EU console in my bag every day since it was released.

Perhaps my European machine has 'momentum' at this point - since I've got more games for it (and always carry a few around), when I have the choice between US and EU releases it doesn't make sense to have to carry a second console around in case I want to play that game.

The Japanese console is just for niche stuff that doesn't get released in the west, it rarely leaves my house.

I think i'm just going to get a PAL for convenience, but thanks to both of you! It really helped my decision process
