I am in pretty much the same situation as this thread here,

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055927279&page=1

Where they are looking at replacing the large annoying hinge doors that swing from the living room into the kitchen. So Pocket doors look the way to go, but this is not where I want to go. I dont have much room one side to roll the door back fully and I dont want to block any side hiding the door and not allow the light shine through.

So I am not sure of my options, I gather something like foldable doors , bifold is it ? , is there any other alternative ... I suppose just removing them completely is another option but with babys above and noise we need to have something to close.

    Thanks

I quite like the sliding doors in that link. Might put some in my own home because i have an open planed living/dining/kitchen and wanted to close it off. Im wondering how much thoses sliding doors would be.

You can use regular internal doors for sliding, so its up to yourself how much it costs. I put pocket doors in my own house about 3 years ago and if memory serves me right the top rail cost about €100
