Checking the Wattage/Ohmage of a Speaker

I have a "Monitor" style speaker I want to use for gigs. But it has no markings or labels on it. Is there any way to test what the wattage or ohmage is of this speaker?

Any multimeter and you can check resistance (in ohm) ;)

The multimeter will probably have to be set to the lowest ohms scale setting to get a proper reading of a speaker.

If a manufacturer won't bother to put his name or specs on something, then i wouldn't be hopeful about using it anywhere, never mind gigging.

Best guess as to power rating, is the physical size and weight of the coil and the wiring.
If you are able to read milliohms, that will help also, but still guessing i'm afraid.
