Why is there no baby Jesus in it ??

not trying to be humourous or sarcastic .

is it a tradition or have they just forgot to put it there.. or any other reason ?? can anyone enlighten me?

I assume it is because Baby Jesus is born on Christmas day and that they will put in the baby Jesus then. Similar to what they do in cribs in churches.

Wrong.Lived in Scotland for years and attended Mass in Glasgow( St.Mungo`s)They observe nativity of Our Lord like other Christian faiths by placing Or Lord in the Manger at the first Mass/service of Christmas.
