Wondering if this is legal in Ireland?

    Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can give me advice on this.

I am looking to purchase some Etizolam online. It is legal in the UK to purchase online but I cannot find info anywhere to see if it's OK to do so
    in Ireland.
I am looking to purchase this to help with anxiety. It is used as a substitute for xanax by sufferers of anxiety.
The site I have found from the UK is this one: http://www.etizolamshop.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&zenid=3528a7745877ebe58d40520ca6c887f8

I obviously want to be sure that this is legal and don't want to get a summons in the post if I order it.

    Thanks.

Have you read the terms and conditions on that site?
All products available on EtizolamShop.co.uk are sold strictly for research purposes only. They are strictly not for human consumption
By ordering you are confirming that you are either a research institute, a research and development scientist or a student of chemistry. The compounds available are strictly for laboratory research use only.

I'd doubt it is legal to buy it the UK to replace Xanax reading those conditions.

OK. Thanks. Would it still be legal to buy it and get it posted here?

The recent legislation which outlawed head shops in Ireland effectively turns the drug situation from a blacklist to whitelist.

That is, unless a substance is specifically known and approved for import, then you can assume it's not legal to import it.

If this is a prescription drug you are open to prosecution for trying to import it if it is intercepted. (Customs dogs do patrols in postal sorting offices and are very good at detecting this kind of stuff!)
The Irish Medicines Board will tell you what is allowed.
BTW please consider seriously forgetting this idea if this is an exercise in self medication - better to sort this out legitimately and safely with a doctor.

Of course even getting prescription licensed medicine from a doc/pharmacist here doesn't guarantee safety; Thalidomide,Aulin, and Swine Flu vaccines had serious side effects.

I would imagine if you can't find it in the search box on the imb website, you are free to do as you please as long as the site guidelines are followed.
